I met this curious Australian Silver Gull on a summer evening at Dolphin Quay Marina in Mandurah. He seemed to be surveying for a spot to roost overnight.
Silver Gulls are very common in coastal regions all around Australia, but for such common birds they all have very distinct personalities and characteristics, and that’s what I love trying to capture in this series of seagull paintings.
