Autumn is my absolute favourite time of year, and the Victorian high country is one of my favourite places to spend it. The Tambo River flows through Swifts Creek and Ensay before meandering down to the Gippsland Lakes and here, above Swifts Creek, golden poplars line the river. The contrast between the rich gold of the trees and the hazy purple-blues of the Angora Ranges in the background send me into raptures every time I see them.
