“Preening” is an original pastel painting on warm white Colourfix 300gsm archival paper. I began this painting with a watercolour wash in bright pinks and greyish blues, and added detail gradually with soft pastels over the top. This is a very special piece to me as I worked on it throughout my artist residency in Beverley, WA.
